Credit crunch

Could SEO help your business survive the recession?

If your business is struggling in the recession, there’s probably no way you’d consider spending money employing people just to sort out your website for you. You might think with things the way they are there are surely much more pressing things to be spending your cash on – you need to keep your business afloat and it’s tough enough just keeping stores open, let alone expanding online as well. It may be a logical thought but ignoring the potential of the online market completely is probably one of the worst decisions a business owner could make right now. In fact, almost all the businesses that are still thriving in spite of the recession are doing so because of their strong online presence, and are bringing in new customers through Google. You have to remember, times may be hard for businesses but they are also hard for consumers, and more and more people are turning to the internet for the best deals on all kinds of products.

It can be difficult to get your head around the minefield that is Google and internet marketing, but with the right approach and a bit of expert SEO, anyone can improve their site and see a huge improvement in the number of people visiting, using and buying their products. With countless websites offering competitive discounts and deals on every type of product online, it’s those who fail to take advantage of the internet who will suffer most. Think about it, of the huge brand stores that have gone into administration over the last few months – Woolworths, Zavvi, MFI – they all had limited online resources and nothing to offer compared to their main online competitors.

Internet Marketing and SEO is an area that has barely been affected by the credit crunch. The ability to manipulate online resources and maximise a website’s potential is more in demand than ever and even in the job market there are still plenty of vacancies for SEO training and internet marketing. Clearly more people are beginning to realise that it is quite possibly the only way to beat the credit crunch and stay ahead of the competition.

Leasing a car could save you money

So you want to buy new car but just can’t seem to make your finances stretch far enough? Or maybe you’ve already seen the car of your dreams, but know you’ll never be able to afford it. You’re not alone – the car industry has been hit hardest of all by the credit crunch and car sales have reached an all time low. It seems like no one can afford to think about buying a new car right now.

But don’t let that get you down – there is another option. There is a way you could get the car of your choice, without even having to pay upfront for it. Car contract hire or leasing agreements are a great way to choose the exact car you want and you only have to pay one manageable monthly fee.

I know what you’re probably thinking, there has got to be a catch, right? Well, actually, no there really isn’t. Sure you have to sign a contract but you get to choose from any car on the market, including those that would normally be out of your price range. In fact, the more popular and desirable the car, the better deals you can usually get. It’s not like buying a new car where the value decreases with time, most contract hire agreements are based on your projected usage so they take wear and tear into account and when the contract ends you can trade it in for a newer model.

Choosing contract hire will usually also help with the running cost of having a car – often the road tax and servicing costs are thrown in to the monthly instalments so you won’t find yourself suddenly landed with huge repair bills. And you’re less likely to have trouble with it breaking down as you can trade it in every couple of years, so you’ll always have the latest new model.

Basically, it’s a really beneficial and financially viable way of getting a new car without any of the worries of buying outright – and it really does make sense, especially now when times are hard. And who knows, you might even be able to get that dream car after all!

Top of the range kitchens

The credit crunch has made a lot of people short on money, how much are you willing to pay for a kitchen? £5000?, £10,000?, £25,000? or a whopping £100,000?

If people have that kind of money then they are going to still spend it on kitchens. Why are people willing to spend over £100,000 on great big designer kitchens? The wealthy are still earning more than enough to cover the costs. The truth is there are many people that can and will pay for a kitchen costing that much because they can afford it and the credit crunch simply doesn’t effect them. They still earn all their money so why would it? Most of the credit crunch is utter madness anyway. Not much has changed. The credit crunch is not as bad for the upper classes as it is for the rest of the world, so they can afford such stylish kitchens. It’s a bit unfair that the wealthy spend so much on kitchen’s when the middle class don’t have any at all.

I admit if i had £100,000 to spare I would, without a doubt purchase a big kitchen. Some of them are really quite amazing. Although a lot of money you can see why people are willing to spend so much on these kitchens! Without a market for the upper classes the world would be in an even worse state than it is. there is a range of products that are available to the upper class for a reason. You can argue with the price but not the quality of these kitchens.

There isn’t a kitchen in the world that should cost that much. To me £100,000 for a kitchen is way too much, but to be fair I wouldn’t spend any money on a kitchen at the moment. There are a couple of kitchens that do look as if they would definatly be worth buying. Since when to people with that amount of money cook for themselves anyway. To impress all the other wealthy people. It’s always that way with the upper class. with the rich and famous it’s always a competition to see who has the best of the best.

Still to all those who can afford the bespoke kitchens, why the hell not!?
